Antique German Two-Door Safe
This very beautiful two-piece safe was acquired from the city of Gera, in Eastern Germany, in a mansion that dates back to the Art Nouveau period. This particular model 'Fabrik Eiserner Geldschrank' was manufactured during the second half of the 1800s by the Franz Rahm Company - Brunnenstraße 196 - Berlin.
People familiar with the origins of this piece say that the original safe's owner was a wealthy manufacturing family from Regensburg, Germany.
